I was pretty excited when Tori and Ryan mentioned they wanted to do their engagement photos in their old stomping grounds of Tarrytown, NY. Having lived in neighboring Sleepy Hollow for a few years before I moved to Manhattan, it’s an area that holds a lot of fond memories for me as well. A lot has changed since we all lived there (including the addition of a taco place that would have been a daily temptation!), but it still has all the charm of a small town along the Hudson. We spent the majority of our session at Rockwood Hall State Park, an area overlooking the river that used to be the country estate for William M. Rockefeller. While the buildings themselves were razed back in the 40’s, the foundations remain, making for an awesome landscape for photography. We ended our session on the rooftop of their old building (also the location of where Ryan proposed!) and took advantage of the gorgeous colors of sunset. Thank you Tori and Ryan, for spending a wonderful afternoon with me, I can not wait for your wedding next May at Lyndhurst Castle!!!
