Stephanie and I had been planning this shoot since April when she won a giveaway for a Life. Documented session I was hosting via Facebook. She mentioned how much she and Zack enjoyed browsing the vendors at the Greenmarket in Union Square and I knew right away I was going to love working with these two! It took awhile for our schedules to finally coordinate (Stephanie is earning her Masters’ degree in Mental Health and has been a very busy woman!), but the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. We were blessed with a gorgeous Autumn day, a time of year they (and I) just love!
We started early for a Monday morning, picking up some goodies at the market for their picnic session later in Central Park, and of course getting some shots as we walked around.
Like a lot of couples, Stephanie had been unsure about attire for the day, but I love the choices she made! The plum of Zack’s sweater perfectly compliments the colors of her plaid shirt. And that necklace! It adds the perfect amount of glam to her look. They are a gorgeous couple and such sweet people…
Apple picking time!
I love this moment of fun and spontaneity as Zack juggles their picks :)
I adore the flowers Stephanie picked up from one of the vendors! If anyone has any idea what they are, please leave a comment!
Next stop, Central Park! We had been on the lookout for a tree adorned with colorful leaves when we came across this beauty! It’s low-hanging branches were just the backdrop we were hoping to find…
Zack plays, Stephanie sings…there is some serious talent in this couple :)
Another beautiful necklace choice!
Stephanie brought along a few books, including this one by the Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky, to honor Zack’s Russian roots…
I couldn’t resist capturing an image with these precious socks!
She also brought along these great Russian soft drinks, partially because they love to drink them and partially because she knew the bottles would make for great props! The stainless steel straws I’ve had from Sur la Table, they have come in handy on more than one occasion!
The weekend before, I was early to my hair appointment in the East Village and found myself wandering through a small antiques shop around the corner. It was as if the vintage purple glass was calling out to me!
What better way to show off your wedding date than with some fun, colorful pumpkins!
Stephanie and Zack, I can not thank you enough for the opportunity to capture this moment in your lives together, a moment so full of love as you head off down the path to a beautiful future! I wish you all the best!
