What I did on my “summer vacation”…

Every year with the passing of Labor Day weekend, I think about what it was like to be a kid and have to return to school after three glorious months off. Back then, you were psyched to pull on your new fall clothes (or in my case, fresh knee socks and a shiny pair of penny loafers to wear with crisp new uniforms), pile your new school supplies into your new backpack and head off to see your friends. There was an air of excitement and anticipation. Definitely not the feeling I had this morning after three glorious days off, as I pulled on a pair of jeans (that may or may not be in need of washing), a top that lost its newness “thrill” months ago and with a ho-hum headed off to the day job.

So in an effort to recapture a little of my youth, I’m going to look back at what I did this summer, much like the assignment you were given the first day back to school. So what did I do on my “summer vacation?” Let’s see…

It’s been such an amazing, crazy summer!!! And with a two-week trip to Iceland less than a month away, I’d say it’s going to be a pretty good Autumn as well :) Stay tuned…
