Like my lavender seedlings that just sort of popped up out of the soil a few days after planting them, the idea to go beyond the typical portrait photo session just started to grow. And then all at once, it had exceeded the confines of my own brain and I set out to make the idea a reality. Thanks to a well-targeted Facebook ad, I found Heather and Zach to be my first willing participants for my new Life. Documented. photo session (click here for more info!). A few emails back and forth about their interests and we decided on Rye Playland, in Westchester County, NY to be our setting.
Despite the rain that started to fall pretty much as soon as we arrived, Heather and Zach were psyched for the shoot. And as soon as I saw Heather pop open her polka dot umbrella, I knew we were going to have fun regardless! It was a fabulous afternoon, complete with a carousal ride, games and of course, some cotton candy.
I am so thankful for these two, allowing me to spend an afternoon with them and document the love and fun they share in their life together! I wish them all the best for their wedding this September! xoxo
