The story of a strong, beautiful Guyanese woman and her handbag(s)…Part One

I’ve recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Julie, owner, designer and crafter behind the handbags at Moruka Designs. And to think it all started with a ad she posted on Craigslist! While I’ve shot accessories for my own “assignments,” I was hungry to work with someone who needed the images beyond this blog. Shooting the beautiful wristlets and clutches Julie has worked tirelessly on more than met my needs! And I’m pretty sure she’s just as happy with the results!

Here are a few samples from the day…

I love the leopard and oxblood combination of this wristlet…

After shooting on so much white, I decided to pull out my vintage suitcases. I love how the tweed and denim look in this next shot!

At the end of the day, I remembered I had thoughts of shooting on the leather couch. I thought it’d play nicely with the leopard print of the wristlets…the denim one is my favorite of the day!

Looking forward to the next stage of photographs Julian and I are planning! Stay Tuned!

Check out the Moruka Designs site for more info and be sure to vote for her in IdeaCafe’s 13th Small Business Grants Semi-Finals!
